Hoia Baciu - Romania
Here's a must watch...
Probably one of the coolest things I've seen on Destination Truth so far. What in the world picks this camera man up and throws him?
The woman giggling and moaning .... gave me chills.
Check it out... they are investigating reports of hauntings in Hoia Baciu forest, Romania.
Next part -
Destination Truth
Let me preface this by saying I absolutely love Destination truth, Josh Gates is hysterical (and crazy)... and I am always excited to watch the shows.
That being said.
I hate when the production aspect of the show is obvious. Tonight Josh and his team are on the hunt looking for werewolves in Romania. At one point he spots something on the FLIR in the distance run past the camera. He takes off after it tumbling and sliding on the uneven land.
Now while I am getting excited about what might happen it dawns on me that I am seeing Josh running towards the camera not away. This means the camera man was some how ahead of Josh in the same place he happened to spot the animal running. Yet when I rewind and watch the FLIR as he sees it there is no camera man ahead of him, he would show on the FLIR... wouldn't he?
So how many of the wild chases are set up?
Just a thought, I still love this show.
Ghost caught on security cam?
Orb caught on camera activating security cameras.

Burlington County Prison
Dave Juliano from South Jersey Ghost Research captured these images while investigating the Burlington County Prison on 3/26/08. The images were taken with in seconds of each other with an infrared illuminator attachment. Click here to learn more about the photos...
I was on this investigation as well. This is a fascinating place that I can not wait to return to... (which is why you'll find this post so long winded)

Being the type who likes to put a face to a name I had to know more about who this apparition was. There are a couple reported ghosts at this prison. Since this photo was taken in front of the stairway I decided to do my research on a particular ghost that has been known to haunt this stairway. The story is that he was a security Guard that was killed by a prisoner and that he has been seen multiple times at this exact location and roaming up and down the stairs.
I was able to unearth the memorial page for a William Harry King (picture to right). His "Officer Down Memorial page" can be found here. He was murdered by a prisoner named Harry Asay in 1920. The warden had opened the inmates door to give him medicine and was attacked and killed as well as a trustee named Charles Vernon.
After a little more searching I was able to find the Original article of the deaths of Warden William Harry King and Trusty Charles Vernon in the New York Times, It clarifies many of the differences in all the "haunted stories" I have found on the web. Which all state different versions of the deaths, dates and names... Click the image for the New York times original PDF version.
The Warden's photo was a cool find in knowing the face and story behind the Warden that still walks the halls of the prison. Although with the hat, graininess and mustache in the photo on his memorial page it's hard to see the resemblance between the apparition photo, in which I personally can make out a hairline, center split bangs, an angular jaw line, no facial hair and possibly glasses. Now had William Harry King taken off the hat, shaved the mustache who knows we could have our ghost!
So I kept looking for more pictures of William and came across this image of guards from the prison that were taken by a lady in the wardens office while touring the now museum.
Sadly, I can't tell which of these men is the Warden (or if the Warden is even in this picture) but I suspect the guy in the upper right hand corner...
All though the Warden's photo looks very much like the guy in the upper right corner to me, it has been pointed out by another team member that the actual apparition photo looks like the guy below him to the right in glasses.
I tend to agree with this... But who is the guy in glasses? He doesn't look like the warden to me, all though I could be wrong... What I really need is a list of names to go with these photos.
What I do find amazing is the resemblance to the style in the apparition photo... The hairline, The center split bangs, and not much facial hair.
What do you think? Here is a total comparison (click the image for a larger version... )

Last and certainly least... A little about Prisoner Harry Asay:
- Suffered from delirium tremons
- After the attacks Asay was overpowered and disarmed by Sheriff Haines
- According to most articles he lived the rest of his days and died in the prison (I was not able to confirm that...some ghost books claim he was put to death at the prison)
Crash Ghost

The story behind this famous picture.
It's been reported on some websites that the driver of this car had passed away and this is the spirit leaving ... but in fact she survived and attributes that to this ghost or Angel.
